SINOPSIS
El movimiento armado de izquierda Alfaro Vive Carajo actuó en los años 80 en el Ecuador. Tuvo como particularidades la juventud de sus miembros (entre 16 y 30 años), su crítica a la ortodoxia, su vertiginoso crecimiento, sus acciones ingeniosas y espectaculares y la manera devastadora como fue combatido. Los sobrevivientes cuentan, un cuarto de siglo después, la historia ocultada o tergiversada. Hablamos de jóvenes normales enfrentados a picos de ternura, de drama, de comedia y de tragedia.
During the 80´s the left wing movement Alfaro Vive Carajo operated in Ecuador. The traits of this aggrupation were: youth of their members (between 16 and 30 years old), critique to the orthodox political thinking, frantic growth of the organization, spectacular and clever actions, and the devastating way that the government fought them. A quarter of century later, the survivors tale the story that was hidden and disguised. A normal youth confronted against dramatic picks of tenderness, comedy and tragedy

Mauricio Samaniego Ponce, Quito, 1965.
Obtuvo un master en Escritura de Guiones Cinematográficos en la Universidad Autónoma de Madrid. Asistió a talleres de guión, dirección actoral y dirección cinematográfica.
Hizo trabajos para televisión como guionista y realizador: "Memorias de Quito" o “Tribula”, serie cómica de alta aceptación.
Creó y/o dirigió comerciales y realizó documentales durante toda su carrera.
Fue profesor de guión y dirección en varias universidades.
Publicó el libro de cuentos “Taxidermia”, que incluye dos relatos premiados.

He obtained his masters degree in Film Screenwriting at Madrid Autonomous University. He attended screenwriting, actor direction and cinematography direction workshops.
He did several works for television as scriptwriter and producer: “Memorias de Quito” (“Quito Memories”), “Tribula”, a highly accepted comic series.
He produced and/or directed TV commercials, and did documentary films throughout his entire career.
He was a screenwriting and film direction professor at several universities. He published the short stories book “Taxidermia”, which includes two awarded recounts.
